Small holes in PETG walls

I am having an issue with small holes in my PETG prints, i have tried a lot of things but not found a solution to this problem. I have a almost new factory assembelesd MK4, using Prusa Slicer with standard settings, no mods, and i am using Prusament PETG. The following things has been tried and tested:

  1. Dried PETG, the same roll prints without any holes in my Prusa Mini+
  2. Seam, Seam is aligned and not random. This is not a seam issue
  3. Temperature of nozzle lowered to -10 and -20 degrees, no big effect.
  4. Retraction distance lowered from 0,8 to 0,3mm, no big effect(maybe slightly worse)
  5. Added cooling, fan set to max 80%(from 50%) and min.layer time to 40 seconds(from 20s).

I read a lot of people have had this issue also, but i cant a solution. PETG from the same filament roll prints without problems in my two Mini+ and MK3+.

I tested to print the exactly same file, but with 4 walls in stead of 2(on the left). This reduced the problem with about 90%. I have no ide why this helped though.

I have the same effect, but no solution either. Would be interested in some suggestions

@printerman: Did you try to tighten both screws (2 rotations each) at the Idler-swivel-unit?

This worked with my 0,25mm nozzle having problems with clogging...

Raise the extrusion miltiplier and test it again. At the beginning, I would start with 1.05, 1.08, 1.10 ...

I tried going with a extrusion multiplier of 1,05 but the problem got slightly worse, the gaps became longer than with the multiplier on 1,0

I contacted support, and they asked me to print a spiral vase g-code. It came out terrible, and i was told to dry the PETG and try again. I did this, and there was a big difference(after drying on the left).

Drying filament is actually the first thing you should try in such cases.

I am usually very good at drying my PETG filament, but i missed this one for some reason(i think this spool came with a printer i bought), i have a Sunlu S2 dryer that i use for all my PETG.

Its a strange, the cylinder and cube Prusa sent me print very nice, they are perfect. But when i print my other print, i get the gaps... Filament is dried, so it is probably something else.

When using input shaper the problem almost disapears, so i guess this is a slicing issue.

I read about some one having similar problems, that solved it by printing slower. I tried and reduced speed to 20mm/s but the results were not very good.

(this is why i dont usually experiment with different settings, they are all reliant on other settings and if you change one the other ones need tuning also).

I had similar issues. Problem can be the settings in Print settings -> Layers and perimeters -> Advanced.

What are your setting at seam position?  Try to turn on "staggered inner seams" or "outer perimeter first".

Also the retraction settings can play a big role with PETG because of the higher temperature.

I also had this issue. It manifested after I had updated PrusaSlicer to 2.6.1. I hunted the problem for weeks and never solved it. Seam/extrusion/retract/speed settings helped in some circumstances, but not much. I thought it might have been the power loss recovery cache, but I was unable to test this.

I havent found the reason for my problems with this print yet, it seams that it could be a slicer/printer compability issue. Some prints doesnt have the problem, i dont understand why.
