16813179xx Orange Kit, 3 nextruder nozzles 0.25 , 0.4 , 0.6 and a pack of 3 socks, all that to Chile, my status still Paid/New. i think that's a little more info, on the non oficial excel i saw at least 2 orders after me already shipped, and that's what i don't like the most 😕

I have 1681318xyz with 0<x<3 (my Order is a plain mk4 kit in orange with nothing else and standard shipping to EU).

I'm not super impressed with having my card charged in full on May 25, and having to wait until Sept 11 for shipment. I can understand paying a deposit to hold your place in the queue, but you should not be charged full price until your order is filled, and you are provided with a valid tracking ID. This isn't a friggin' Kickstarter campaign setup by a couple of teenagers, shipping out of Grandma's garage.

You had the option to not buy it, unlike a kickstarter where the only option to buy it may be the kickstarter itself.
You could have not bought and waited until there was no lead time and then ordered.

There is nothing inherently useful in the last digits, only that with them you get the full number that identifies the order.

The opposite 🙂 The first 8 digits is not guaranteed to be unique, it can be potentially shared by 100 orders - but I would expect in average only a couple are actually valid orders, unless we are talking about the orders after mk4 twitter posts and emails, there are segments where it will probably be tens of orders starting with the same 8 numbers 🙂

The order number is a time code so of course if you’re in the same our almost all the numbers are going to match up. I forgot when I looked as to perhaps the last digit is a 10th of a second or one second? Something like that. Or it allows up to 10 orders for the same second.
looking at the DHL tracking information from my order, it looks like there are two pieces, and they got separated? It still says the shipment is due on the 12th, but it looks like one came through Cincinnati and one through New York? I’m starting to think they’re just holding the first one at my local place till the other part catches up? Weird stuff.

I suspect is ultimately extremely rare that the order number is identical and I would be shocked it Prusa does not have a contingency to alter the number in that instance.

Thats why we don't usually use timestamps as order numbers or generally identifiers, but when they chose to, they most probably implemented that check to just "wait" a second 🙂

AAAAAnnd, my Mk4 kit showed up this afternoon, a day early, just as I was walking out the door for a week long trip… BUT when I get home next week, the famn damily will be gone for three days…
Surprised at how small the box is for the kit. I guess it makes sense.
