If you have no idea how long it will take - say it.
If you give a timeline lets say mk4 kit will ship in 6 weeks - everyone will take this for granted.
2 to 4 month would be better. ( still would not be enough)

I like the hard and software and ecosystem. But i realy hate prusa for their arrogant promisses they cant deliver.

Not here it doesn't.
I purchased a new vehicle 2 years ago - I paid a deposit, and then paid the full outstanding balance before collection. Standard practice. I even get an ETA that's pretty accurate. If a car manufacturer can do it, with hundreds of parts coming from different countries, then so can Prusa.
Even when you buy something from Amazon, a hold is placed on your payment method to ensure you have the funds, but the payment is actually taken when the item ships - not before. And that's even though the item generally ships within a day or two of ordering!
This is nothing new, it happens all over the place across a range of industries. Prusa take the full balance up front because it's just easier for them - less processing to complete with chasing full payments before dispatch etc. Doesn't make it the best method for consumers though, especially when Prusa's shipping schedule is a complete mess.
Reflecting on the fact of full payment, this also happens when you buy a new vehicle and it is delivered to you after 6 months, you feel less of a burden because there is a loan, but in fact the product was paid to the company in full months before

To be honest.. vw gave me an exact date for delivery. 6 month in the future. After 8 weeks i got a new one with a delay of i think 2 month. But this date was accurate.
They new the seat would take x days longer.
And thats the point. There can allways be a problem. And one or even two delays are acceptable for me.
But if there are 50 things - i would never give a customer a delivery date. I would wait with a shipping date untill i am sure.
And wait with the store page...

Nice! 1681324xxx was my original order, so mine may be getting close too! (Something got messed up when support tried to add an enclosure, so they had me cancel it and make a new one and they said they’d prioritize the new one to ship when the original order was supposed to ship)

Week starting 10th July is the last week for all remaining orders placed 12th April, according to the shipping schedule anyways……
I found the CS on chat do not know either, they just read off of the shipping schedule as well, with no further info.

When posting current order status, please include not just order number, but also color and whether order is for assembled, kit or some type of extract. All of these can effect shipping date. While you are at it, please consider including country and add-ons which may effect shipping time. Thank you.

Ordered a MK3S+ > MK3.9 kit in early April, after thinking it over several times in the past months, today I decided why end up with a pile of parts and get an almost MK4, while I can get a new MK4 for $300 more and have a second printer, I can sell my MK3S+ and probably get more than $300 back.
So today I changed my order expecting to get back to the end of the line having to wait until the end of August. To my surprise less than an hour later I got a shipping confirmation

.. is Orange kit + enclosure bundle + accessories (that are currently in stock). Shipping to EU.
BTW I have changed my ordered recently (added accessories, changed to enclosure bundle) and it seems it didn't have any impact on waiting time.
EDIT: Just got email that it has been shipped.
