prefoamed lw pla wont load into printer

I purchased a used mk4 and have been playing around with it today.  I went to load some lw pla that is prefoamed and it will not load.  Goes in and just starts clicking.  Regular pla and pteg loads fine.  Im cutting a 45 angle on the leading tip.  I believe it is too soft for it to grip.  I also bought a mk3 and the same filament loads just fine.  Any suggestions?

thanks

Jeff

RE: prefoamed lw pla wont load into printer

I have removed the filament sensor from my MK4 because it was falsely triggering and getting in the way of loading soft flexibles (80A). It need a bit of disassembly, but removing the ball and spring fixed my problem, although I do now need to click through warnings of not having completed the filament sensor calibration...

Check the diameter of the filament (micrometer) - that stuff can go out of spec if not properly stored.

Cheerio,
