Noise level

I have a MK4 Kit and it prints fine, but i do not sure about noise level.
I print with IS and phone measure say its a average 60 dB with peaks about 65 dB

About 2 meters from printer it is about 50dB.

Is it normal ?  How noisy is Your printer?

App for measurement I have: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.splendapps.decibel

RE: Noise level

Hey everyone!

Totally agree, after the print quality, noise level is the next biggest thing.

From what I’ve seen, the MK4 is definitely quieter than the older versions, which is awesome, but the noise still mostly comes down to the fans on longer prints or if you're not using Stealth Mode. An enclosure helps a ton, but if you want to get an actual objective number for before/after mods (or just to settle a debate), it's good to use a sound meter.

You can grab a simple decibel app on your phone, or if you want a dedicated online tool to compare against specs, I found this simple one the other day that might be useful for tracking your room's baseline- https://noisemeter.co/ .

Keep us posted if you manage to hit any record-low dBA numbers!
