I reckon it will be small enough to be hardly noticeable, considering input shaper values etc remain unchanged across the MK4 and MK4s
Im sure I read somewhere the extruder weight is the same as before due to the light weight of the fan
The announcement page says this about weight:
"The new fan may look bulkier than the old one, but the weight of the Nextruder remains virtually unchanged."Make what you will of that, but grammatically speaking "virtually unchanged" is not the same as "unchanged". I would bet it is a little heavier, because the fan is larger, but maybe not enough to matter. At least that is how I interpret Prusa's "virtually unchanged" verbiage.

I broke down and ordered 2 more upgrades + along with the upgrade from MK IIIS+ -> MK IVS
What impressed me on the base MK 4 was I was able to print full printer sheets for the MK 4+ without issue.
What I am looking now is better support for overhangs. Now I will have the goldilocks print farm....(that is 3 printers)
While I was tossing money around I broke down and upgraded my old MMU 2s to print with the MK4S.

I am on the fence with this upgrade. Seems like another propriety nozzle (high flow) and I want to run my hardened nozzles that I bought to save money over the long term. If my hardened nozzles can still be used with the upgrade successfully I may buy it, but then the only improvement will be the overhangs. Anybody have the same thoughts?? Can we still use a sock? Any other potential negatives?

As far as I know the MK4S can do and use whatever the MK4 can do and use, with the exception of using the support block during nozzle change (someone will invent a new one). What it can do more or better than the MK4 has been discussed.
My issue with these high-flow nozzles is they are difficult to clean. You cannot clean the separated channels via a cold pull and cleaning fiber will just pass through the non-stuck channels.

Well, the wait is over and upgrade box arrived via DHL this morning! now, I need the time to get this upgraded to the MK4s. It's comes nicely packaged as expected.
And not forgetting the all important Haribo's....a little small

Today is the original "send" date when I purchased in early August -- now it's a 13-14 week lead-time ... ha ha! We'll be lucky to get it before Christmas now. The old bait and switch worked perfectly.

When did you guys order? I ordered mine late in the day on Aug. 12, and it's scheduled to arrive Sept. 11. (in 2 days).

I ordered on Aug 13, around Noon (PST (GMT-8)). They must have received a rush of orders, as I haven't received any shipment confirmation email yet.

Still waiting on my 8/12 order to ship which according to the table should be any time. Tho I did remove the accelerometer and gpio board from the order a little over a week ago, I hope that doesn't push me back since its now the only item in the order.

Your original order date is kept from past experience when you edit the order. I did the same removed the GPIO and accelerometer since they may be many more weeks out.

No movement on my order; but none was expected due to the accelerometer and gpio board on the order.
At lest I got notification of my full upgrade kit on the 3->4S which was done within 30 mins of the youtube notification of the 4->4S.

It appears the upgrade kits are breaking loose, but I also order the accelerometer with the upgrade.
Has anyone gotten the accelerometer yet? Are we going to be stuck XX weeks for those to complete our orders?

I think most folks who ordered both have separated the accelerometer into a separate order so that their upgrade kit won't be needlessly held up.

"Most"? Not me. And I don't know the statistics, as I have no data from Prusa's internal systems. But given the shipping cost to my country, and the lack of any real need for the upgrade, I combined them all into one order. So, my Aug-12 order is presumably being held up for the accelerometer, gpio board, or perhaps both.
But that's okay, as I am in no hurry (and actually slightly hesitant) to "upgrade" a Mk4 that is working perfectly fine right now. I just didn't want to pay another $35 shipping cost, so I combined the orders.
So, I won't be the "first to post on Youtube", but I will benefit from the experiences posted by other people who relate their experience installing the various upgrades. I am good with that. 🙂
