MK4 Nextruder Nozzles

How long does the 0.4 brass nozzle for the MK4 last? I have 0.4 brass and 0.6 obsidian nozzles. I found that the presets for the 0.4 nozzle at 0.2 layer height are faster than the 0.6 at 0.2 layer height.

What materials are you going to be printing?

RE: MK4 Nextruder Nozzles

A bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question, and likely depends on frequency of use, number of heat/cool cycles, material type, temperatures, handling, and more.

If its any help at all, my Mk3 is on the same brass nozzle it was supplied with,  from years ago when the Mk3 first appeared, and that is after many many MANY  metres of filament, usually cheap budget PLA, occasionally PETG or FLEX.

I agree with what @bad-raven-2 wrote.

Now, assuming that you don't clog your nozzle, a better question might be, how will you know when the nozzle is past its prime and should be replaced?
