Meh I’d give them away before trying to sell
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I understand that. Hard for me to turn down $35. Nice supplemental income.

its always been like that. don't rely on anything they say about shipping they make it up as they go
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I am not sure I would agree with that wording. Took implies stole. You can get it back if you request a refund or wait for the product.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Got my Mk4 kit a week ago, and just completed assembly today (6/26/23). Ordered 1st day, before the 5:30pm cutoff. Just got done going through self tests, Prusa keychain, and now printing a little 2-1/2hr print testing Organic Supports. I used thread locker on select screws after certain sections were adjusted and tightened (took out one screw at a time to apply blue thread locker, not on the Nextruder, or any parts that may need re-adjusting). Haven't tried the WiFi connectivity yet.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
totally justified in my opinion. tell me one 3D printer manufacturer that cashes in and deliver months later.

I stand by my wording. It does not imply they stole my money at all - they cant steal something that was given to them in the first instance. I paid for the item, so when I refer to them taking my money, I'm referring to the fact that they processed my payment and 'took' it in full, even though they had no idea when they would be supplying me with the goods. I don't care which way you look at it, I see that as taking my money before fulfilling the agreement, knowing full well that you have no idea when that agreement would be fulfilled.
When I pre-order any other item from other manufacturers, my payment details are held on file, and then my card is charged when the item is being packed and prepared for shipping - in most cases a few days before. To this day Prusa cannot tell me where in the queue I am or when my item will ship - they can only provide a rough estimate of 'early July', even though the 'took' my money straight away back in early April!
They clearly knew there would be lengthy lead times, then they had their delays, for whatever reason. So they should have a system whereby payment details are held on file, and payment is then taken and clears a few days before dispatch, like many other companies. Instead they took full payment up front, then kept all their customers in the dark about when they would actually receive anything at all. In my book that's the wrong way to do business. I've waited this long, so will no doubt continue to wait, but I would certainly think twice before pre-ordering from Prusa in the future.

Either way, you chose purposely inflammatory language. You will get your printer if you keep your money in the game. We knew going in that it was a pay and deliver later.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I appologize. I have been a little irritable this week with both Prusa and the forum. Prusa's communication stinks. There is not doubt about it. We voluntaryily place money with them for products and they have been late to deliver time and time again.
With the MK4, I would like a regular update 1-2 times a day to the shipping schedule. I don't need to know why, but updates would be nice.
With the XL, they should have been up front with their plans to ship the assembled and semi-assembled or one head and multiheads on different dates. They should do right down the purchase list and ask: "You next, do you want to change your order to a one head to head it sooner?".
Lastly, I really am beginning to like three non-Prusa printers. Eventually, this delay will hurt Prusa.
