RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Im not going to use the adapter why make me pay for it value engineering 101 sell the minimum of the product the customer need.
There are reasons to use it. Some users might want to use engineering-grade nozzles or specialty nozzles for abrasive materials.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
If you notice, I think it has been out of stock for a while. Prusa might be saving stock for the XL orders that already get one.
Yes the adapter would have made sense - means users can use previous nozzles etc. But this way Prusa can sell more accessories and make more money too!! lol
What does that even mean?? I'm saying that it would be more economical if we had the V6 nozzle adapter with a .4mm nozzle with the kit. This way, when that nozzle wears off, we can use any nozzle that we already own, or are able to buy WITHOUT having to spend an additional $30! You make it sound like we are getting a handout, that we "have to be happy with what we got".
I think have to be happy with what you got.
I wish Prusa would've included the V6 nozzle adapter in the kit to start with, instead of including a $30 complete hot end assembly that would be trash when its nozzle wears off.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Yeah they are reasons my point is it dose not need to be in every box for “free”
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
The nozzle adapter was available this morning. I had setup a stock alert, received an email and bought two. They become available occasionally and sell out quickly.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
We're straying a bit from the availability of the kit in general, but I suppose the nozzle adapter is related to our ability to fully use the kits. Anyway, I received an in-stock notification at 5am local time and by the time I'd noticed and tried to order 6h later, it was out of stock again... with a note on the page saying, "Due to a shortage of this item, we have set a limit of 2 per order."
I suppose that's part of the limit of the not-fully-open approach they've switched to. If there were a design up at https://github.com/prusa3d/ (nothing yet for Mk4 or XL) maybe the community could do a group buy with a different vendor to help share the load on whoever Prusa is using that can't keep up.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
My free roll of filament arrived today. The printer and enclosure are still in Germany.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Just got the kit from canada, if any one has questions 🙂
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I did not purchased the adapter due the logic of the new extruder. The new Nextruder is especially nice because you do not get clogged mess between the nozzle and the hotend as it happens if do not screw well the nozzle on the MK3. But at the moment there are no spare HOT cartridges in the shop! 😣
So, if by accident, you do not screw correctly the nozzle on the adapter, you will have material between the nozzle and the Nextruder adapter. This means that the material will be inside the hot cartridge thread, between the nozzle and the adapter. This will mess the threaded hot cartridge that normally is pristine and with a normal usage of the new Nextruders will never dirt.
So I will purchase the adapter as soon as I will see also the hot cartridges in the shop. 😉

Each type of fasteners are individually bagged no sorting needed

I never even mentioned the free filament!
You missed the point again!

It would've been MORE ECONOMICAL for the customer to get the V6 adapter+(a 0.4mm V6 Nozzle) with the kit, rather than having to later buy the adapter, dump the included hot end (when the included 0.4 nozzle wears off!!
I thought you were complaining about getting a free spool of filament and not a nozzle. Either way, you got what you got. I am sure hardened nozzles will be available soon.

If you follow the directions on how to install the V6 nozzle on the V6 Adapter, you will not have a mess inside it.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Seems the spool of free filament (available until end of June) ships separate to the main printer, which doesn’t make sense.
I tried to edit my kit order and add the silicone heatblock covers/protectors. Cost is £5.49.
Added to my original MK4 kit order, which is due to ship early July I’m told, and it added an extra £19 to the cost, all because it was adding extra shipping!! Almost triple the cost of the item just for shipping!!!
I’d order a lot more from Prusa - accessories, filaments, etc - if it weren’t for the super high shipping costs!

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
The way I see it, “most customers” (who will not be on forums like this), wouldn’t care for the V6 adapter. So Prusa did ship the most economical thing, for the average customer.
Prusa said once that like 60% of Prusa printer owners have never once tried a different nozzle size. And swapping nozzles, hot, has to be one of the most disliked aspects from what I’ve read. It’s not hard, and yet, I’ve only done it once to 0.6 and once again back to 0.4 on my MINI, because while not hard, it’s a hassle. I’m looking forward to the MK4 nozzle swap system and while I will buy a V6 nozzle adapter, I’ll also just buy the brass nozzles. I’m not printing abrasive filament so I don’t care that it’s $30. It’ll last quite a while and I don’t need to bother with hot nozzle swaps like I would with a V6 adapter.
In other words, what’s economical can depend on the priorities of the end user.
None of this is saying that from a strictly monetary perspective that a V6 adapter and V6 nozzles are not cheaper for general purpose, because they are. There’s just other factors why it may not make sense to ship or for people to use them.

Well, when the original nozzle wears off, you just unscrew it from the heater block and replace it with a new one, either nextruder compatible or adapter+v6 one, thats up to you, but there is no need to dump the entire hotend 🙂
Yes, the nextruder-compatible nozzle costs significantly more at the moment, unfortunately. I hope it will go down a bit with time and possibly alternative manufacturers.

I order them from a supplier in the US to avoid that. Printedsolid is my local supplier of Prusa Parts.

The point would be to use your existing e3d nozzles. Say what you want, but E3d nozzles are great, they last long and the sizes are on point. I would of liked to see them include it in the kit. They included it in the assembled model, it's should have been in the kit as well. Now i have to pay for the adaptor it should arrive before the kit comes so it'll just be sitting there.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
E3d make the nexttruder nozzle as well, im inspecting one right now, its very impressive with the amount of machining on that thing at this price point
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I think it is available with the XL. I am not seeing anything about it being included the MK4 kit or assembled.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Prusa customer service is very disappointing. I feel they reply like robots and don't have any information. I just contacted them regarding my order from 17:38 CET. They don't have any estimate and the answer I got: "April 12th from 5.30 pm until midnight (CET) Currently shipping - From Week 25 (starts June 19th) to Week 28 (starts July 10th)". This info I can get from their site. I don't need customer agent for that. Really disappointing.
