I also strongly disagree with Antimix on Input Shaper. I am not sure on what experiences he bases the claim of heavy loss of details, maybe it is because of what the Bambulab does. I don't have any but it seems to have a very aggressive Input Shaper to enable its very high speeds. IS doesn't automatically equate with visible loss of detail.

Input shaper also doesn't counter vibrations, it counters resonance. It is all about identifying the frequency of movement change which causes resonance in a specific printer. Then it tries to prevent those from accuring during a print. The more aggressively you implement it, the more thorough it succeeds but the more it impacts print quality in other ways. With a moderate IS setting, barely any change in detail level or corner sharpness is visible, if any at all. However the speeds at which ghosting starts to appear is dramaticall increased.

What many misunderstand is that IS is not necessarily made for enableing speed benchies or some speed records. Its biggest benefit is that if you use it at moderate speeds or slightly swifter speeds as before, you can get a dramatic improvement in print quality.

It needs proper calibration but it is also not as terribly fragile as Antimix makes it out to be, as long as you don't relocate the printer or do some maintenance work which leads to modifications or considerable disassembly it stays quite well calibrated. And even if it starts to shift away, it wont start eating your details but you simply will see a slow reemergence of mild ghosting.

Personally, I would not buy a non-entry level printer in 2023 without IS implemented or at least upgradable without too much hassle. That is just me, if you just want to get technical prints out of it, don't need high speed and/or couldn't care less about surface artifacts, then IS isn't really a critical thing to have.
