Eagerly waiting while battling first layer issues with my current printer. 🙂

Not all orders are for kits so it is hard to tell.

I placed my upgrade order for a prebuilt MK4 from an XL on the 29th. No shipping yet, online support has said various things about shipping times, varying from "next week" to 6 to 7 weeks..............

My original XL order was placed late in 2022.

My order was also for a prebuilt MK4 on the 29th at 17:24 (UTC). On the morning of April 11 at 9:55 (UTC) I received the confirmation email about shipment.

Hi Walter, was your order an upgrade from an XL, or a new order? I'm skeptical about the information that previous XL orders would "jump to the front of the queue" (Mine was originally an XL order)

It was a new order. Perhaps a big number of jumpers from the XL queue was in between us.

Just to be clear, Prusa didn't say that XL orders which get converted to MK4 "jump to the front of the queue", they said that they will be treated with higher priority.

Maybe not word for word, but in effect there would be not much difference? Or what else would "higher priority" mean? An extra pack of Haribos? 🙂

We don't know what higher priority means. Could be a distinction without a difference, but, we don't know. However, wording matters, and since that posted placed it in quotes, was incorrect.

I ordered on 29th (20:59 CET) with 2-3 weeks lead time.
Order status changed to "In Progress" today.

My order is now "in progress" too. Perhaps that means that it isn't far away, or perhaps that they have an issue filling the orders. Time will tell.

They are very busy these days. I ordered an enclosure for the MK4 yesterday and it was shipped within 3 hours.

Setup will have to wait until tomorrow late afternoon, have to do some other work first and then setup a pi with octoprint for this.
