Getting MK3S+ today, should I refuse delivery?

I guess I'm just a sucker as I ordered the upgrade kit. I too ordered mine 22nd Feb, my delivery estimate is 12 months from now 😀 Another thing they need to improve on. I recently bought a Mini clone as a backup printer (it was cheap) and once you've seen the more modern UI there's no going back, I think I might be able to use the branded steppers from the MK3S+ on the Mini once I've upgraded. It's Benchy print was better than my MK3s, although quite stringy.

I am so pissed, i ordered mine on feb 27th so i guess im out of luck on the 150, im not sure what to do, i have been a loyal prusa user since 2016 with an MK2 upgraded to 2.5s and this is a slap in the face from a company i used to think didnt do stuff like this.  Forget the voucher they should offer the upgrade kit at a highly reduced rate.

Well this is getting complicated. I refuse delivery of the shipment yesterday. Immediately notified Prusa. Followed up with LiveChat. So far crickets is all I hear on the return authorization. Then I get a notification of a 3rd package being delivered today, I refused two the day prior. Now I'm concerned as there are 3 packages in two locations. Since I've not heard anything from Prusa, I decided it was best to have all 3 packages in my possession. Road trip - 90 minutes later and I have picked up the 2 from yesterdays refused delivery. Later this afternoon the 3rd will be delivered. Now I wait....

One of the packages was the enclosure for the MK3S+ - I'm wondering if I should keep that for the MK4. That may complicate things. One other thing DHL told me - don't open the package - that way Prusa is paying the shipping.

One other thing - Prusa LiveChat must are getting hammered. The wait time has jumped up to 16 minutes (during their normal hours) and their estimate is usually off by 2x.

I agree with your reasoning. I might keep mine if that was the case. That said, haven't heard anything from Prusa on my return. Seems they have been hammered as of late. May be because of this situation. It's rare when you can piss off so many people so quickly. I think it's because you don't expect this from prusa. It is out of the norm for them to act this way, which makes it worse.
