Deep cleaning textured pei sheets?

Good day.

I'm not sure if im in a good place to ask such maybe basic question but my autoleveling on MK4 keeps checking in exactly same grid pattern leaving small but over time significant ooze of filament (mainly petg and pla) on my textured pei sheet. What chemical or method would be best to use i order to remove petg without damaging pei sheet? I got ipa but does not help and acetone, but from what i know it will also not help (with petg).

This is an image after sheet being used for 40+ prints. It is not damaged but just dirty deep in grooves.

IPA sprayed on and left to soak for a short while, should loosen PLA PETG and TPU.

And if that doesn't work: rub neat washing up detergent into the print sheet, wait ten minutes then rinse clean with very HOT water, dry with a fresh paper towel - handle by the edges only, do not touch the surface - and finally replace the plate on the printer and either print straight away or heat the bed for ten minutes to complete drying.

Cheerio,

If a sharp edged plastic scraper doesn't work, you could print a sheet of [email protected] thick for the entire bed and it will usually pick up most if not all debris embedded in your textured sheet:)

I use hot water and kitchen detergent and a microfibre cloth. Gets them very clean or so I thought. But I haven’t looked at my sheets under a microscope and now I’m curious as to whether mine have ingrained dirt like yours.

I was thinking about that idea with slightly overheated bed to maybe 100 centigrade for better adhesion of new petg to other particles. I will test few options including nearly boiling water bath and detergent. Im amazed tho how much microplastics are there left embedded into bed grooves.

+1. Use the most mild solution first. You rarely need IPA and anything stronger just damages the surface.
