Toolhead cable bundling causing crash in x-axis

The bundle of cables going to the toolhead can curl in such a way that the toolhead squishes it in the x-axis causing a crash. Unfortunately, this crash is not detected, and the print continues with a very large layer shift in the x-axis.

Currently my solution is to rubber band the cable to something behind the printer although this feels jank. Does anyone have any printed solutions? Maybe some sort of cable stiffiner or extended cable guides?

Seems like maybe the cable was installed incorrectly? Got a picture?

Here's a picture. I bought this assembled, not as a kit. I have tried twisting the wire bundle in the housings a bit to some effect, but I am worried it will break the wires inside.

Is there no nylon filament in the bundle like on the MK3S*? I did not look into the bundle but it feels just like the one on the MK3S+ which I have assembled and disassembled several times.

I had perhaps the same problem this morning. I heard that the x-axis crash against the side with the PSU after starting the print and then the first layer was shifted a few mm to the right. I printed the model in the photo (showing the successful print of it). The parts belong to this model. The lowest part was shifted about 10 mm to the right, the other ones were just 2 mm too far to the right, just touching the white line on the bed.

At the third part I stopped the print and printed a calibration model for the sheet coordinates. The calibration model printed at the correct coordinates, here is the photo:

After this I printed the model from the first photo. And everything went fine. I did not switch off the printer during the whole process, in case that could be important. I did several other prints after that yesterday and the problem did not reoccur. I will watch the cable bundle at the next print e.g. if it can move in between the toolhead and the PSU, where this crash occurred. It was not on the side with the electronics box.

If there is no filament in the bundle, I did a quick fix on my MK3 for the bed bundle to ensure it isn't getting in the way using zip ties.  It provides support and is flexible.  You need to have the zip tie in a way that allows it to bend in the correct direction.
