Stringing foulling the nozzle MK4

I recently printed a model using my MK4 and Prusament PET-G with the IS standard config. The first layer failed, and the spaghetti strings are all over the exterior of the nozzle.

So: any tips on how to clean the strings off of the nozzle? When I try printing, all the excess gunk on the nozzle drips down onto the PEI sheet and winds up causing inclusions in the print.

try a brush with brass bristles (you can get these on amazon for a relatively low price, this is a link to the ones i use) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08D9QH3X3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

in as pinch, tweezers also *kind of* work.

In the future, to help prevent these issues, maybe get a silicone sock for your nozzle (prusa sells a 3-pack on their store for like 6 bucks)

hope this helps!
