Prints Between Mk3S+ & Mk4 have color variations

Just got up my Pre-Built Mk4 printer.  I printed a simple object on my MK3S+ and then on my MK4 to compare using same profile settings.

Both produced clean high-quality print, but the color and finish differ.

I used Prusament Galaxy Silver and printed from the same spool for both printers.

The Mk3S+ looked as expected with a metallic, shiny silver finish.

But the MK 4 looked like a flat gray color finish on the vertical surfaces and even the gray had lighter and dark spots on the vertical walls.

What would cause this to produce this color/sheen variation? I printed the object multiple times on Both printers and the outcomes were always the same.

It's hard to see in the photo, but the top one is Mk3S+ and has an expected shiny metallic finish.

The bottom is Mk4, notice the Dark areas on the edges of the rectangles (that's not the lighting, that's the color of the print).  It has a noticeable flatter sheen in person.

The horizontal surfaces look fine.

Any ideas what causes this to happen?

The print speeds are faster on the MK4.  This causes the temperature of the filament being extruded as it exits the nozzle to be less because it travels thru the nozzle faster.  This lower temperature will affect the color and sheen (glossiness).

The first thing to do is increase the nozzle temperature on the MK4, and if it's still not acceptable you can lower the print speeds some until a satisfactory result is achieved.

I personally prefer the duller finish and often printed at lower temperatures on my MK3.  There is probably a small amount of part strength lost (due to weaker layer adhesion), but unless your printing structural parts it likely doesn't matter.

Thanks for the lesson on how it works!  Appreciate it.
