New MK4 Printer Fails on Filament Sensor in initial Test after Assembly

Hi all, I build my new MK4 the last days, but the Self-Test failsat the Filament-Sensor:

From the Sensor Info I can see that the sensor is somehow working. It shows around 1.45 Mio for no filament and around 1.85 Mio for inserted filament. I have read much lower values in the forum. Firmware 5.01 is currently installed, but a firmware update is probably only possible after the initial test.

NoFilament

Filament inserted:

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you in advance

firmware upgrade occurs on boot, have you tried putting the new bbf file on the usb pen, and re booting the printer?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply, I tried that, but after reboot the "First Test Wizzard" starts again. In the manual for updating the firmware is written that it can only be done when the initial test has been completed.

I found another way to flash new Firmware. Insert USB Stick with new Firmware, Power Up - Press Reset - and after that imediatelly press the Button. This opens a Menu wher you can flash the Firmware.

Sadly it did not solve the main problem. 🙁

Ok now I found the Error:

In the comments to the Nextruder Assembly, Step 4, from user BID3D.

https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/5-nextruder-assembly_434014#434324

I did not recognize that there is a spare magnet and insetrted both, which brought up completely wrong values for the HAL sensor.

😀 😀 😀 😀
