Mk4 + Enclosure beware

So I bought a Mk4 + the enclosure + some add-ons ... The light, the filter, and the PS quick-disconnect.  It all sort-of works. However, I was not able to "remote" the LCD outside the box because the LCD mounts for the Mk3 are not compatible, and the PS quick-disconnect doesn't work because the supplied wiring harness has the wrong connector for the power-supply dying signal.  Otherwise I'm really happy with the whole setup.

RE: Mk4 + Enclosure beware

Hello Mike. You are completely right. For the LCD mounts we will need the parts design for the MK4 and rework it so it fits on the enclosure.

For the PS Quick-disconnect there is no provision for the earth/ground wire which connects the MK4 with the PSU.

The Power Panic connection is now only a single wire and has different connectors on either side compared to the MK3.

I hope Prusa will provide an adjusted PS-Quick-disconnect add-on for the MK4. Until then we have to improvise.

I did see those after I built my enclosure. Thanks!  I'll be doing the mod at some point.

I contacted support about the quick disconnect. "Soon" is all I got.

I posted these LCD mounts to printables:

Hello Blake. I  noticed your effort from another topic. Good work! Printed them and will install tomorrow. One problem less. Great to have a community like this 😀

Hello Nich.  The filament insertion point on the extruder has build in threads (although not as a brass insert). Just screw the ptfe fitting fingerthight into the top of the extruder.

Would still be nice to have something like this available though:

I received my MK4 today.
It's not a brass insert but I'm pretty sure it's a metal thread on the extruder.

It's been 2 1/2 months, and it seems like there haven't been any new updates or information regarding the compatibility issues with the LCD mounts and the power supply quick-disconnect. Have I missed any recent developments or updates on the product page?

However, it is good to hear that there are now official files available for the LCD mount. It's a positive step towards addressing the compatibility concerns.

I haven't seen anything directly from Prusa about when the quick-connect is coming.  In a thread in the Enclosure sub-forum, a user reported that support told him "late summer" which I would interpret as around August-September.

I would also like a quick-connect for the LCD.  I have seen some discussion that the length of the MK4 ribbon cable is a bit short for mounting the LCD outside (possible, but tight), and in any case it would be convenient to have.  Probably end up having to make that myself, as I haven't seen any mention of such an offering from Prusa.

Our recently delivered (Mk4 Built with Enclosure) enclosure kit included both Mk3 and Mk4 LCD mounts.   I actually assembled it without, and left the LCD inside the enclosure.  Felt a bit vulnerable on the outside (especially with the included rather long USB drive plugged in, must get a short one).  I didn't try separating the LCD ribbons from the wiring bundle, I assume they would reach the external display position, but without much spare length.
Has anyone tried extending the display ribbons to get the display outside on the top front edge of the enclosure?
