First layer patterns

Hi MK4 owners! 🙂

I assembled my new MK4 some time ago and already had some beautiful prints. When printing the Boomerang model I noticed some artifacts/first layer inconsistencies. I know my filament has become a bit wet - however i noticed a pattern and so i printed a PLA sheet to get a better picture.

Can you give me a hint what the problem might be? See the attached images (Don't mind the filament blob; i had a filament run-out there on the sheet model)
I thought of re-lubing the right side of the x axis as well as the back of the y axis but the pattern seems rather big so maybe something else?

Best regards

Christian

Lube the axes anyway - it won't help with this but maintenance is never wasted.

Somehow your first layer is a fraction too low - if you have been playing with settings then, er, undo it.

Otherwise contact Prusa Support chat and show them this picture.  Log into your Eshop account, navigate to Company, click Contact Us and 24/7 live Chat is one of the options.

Cheerio,

RE: First layer patterns

Thank you for your help!

Before i try this, i wanted to exclude the filament question out of the equation. So i changed it to Galaxy Black witch came with the printer. And boy i was wrong - i really do have crappy garbage filament! I still wonder how this pattern is possible though.

Best regards
