First f**up Prusa MK4 KIT
Hi, when assembling the MK4 KIT, I reached a step where I was preparing parts for assembling the Y-axis and heated bed. I was incredibly surprised when I saw connector in such a state:

RE:
As that part is physically already attached to the bed, it would be interesting to see if they just send another connector, or a whole new bed!

RE: First f**up Prusa MK4 KIT
Usually they send the whole part, although here the thermistor wit the cable/connector can be replaced quite easily.
RE: First f**up Prusa MK4 KIT
The sensor is stuck to the bottom of the bed with some tape.
So think they are going to send this for free.
RE: First f**up Prusa MK4 KIT
that's looks horrible, yuck... can you buy a connectyor and trim the wire a little and fit another connector to it? this may mean you can get on with building. I hope Prusa send out new item but, I am just suggesting a possible "quick fix"
let us know who Prusa respond to you and thanks for sharing.

I have the same issue. Support contacted, they will send a new thermistor with tape and I'll have to replace it myself.

Yeah, I was shown the MK3S+ instructions as a base, there's no guide for MK4 yet. I think the thermistor on MK4 doesn't need to be reshaped into an oval, it looks pretty straight under the tape. So at least there's less risk of me breaking the wires in the process, lol. I don't see any other differences at a glance. Just a bummer I noticed so late into the week, I need to wait over 4 days for the new part thanks to the weekend and international shipping times. Ah well... I hope this will make them rethink the way they pack the bed, to avoid this for future kits.

Not exactly this one, because the connector is different. But yeah, just the thermistor + tape.

Prusa has sent a new thermistor, it can be installed!

How much time did it take to ship and receive the thermistor? Which courier did they use? Mine wasn't sent yet. I ask because I'm in Poland, so it should take roughly the same for me as it did for you. (Yeah, I'm impatient 😜 )

I had the same problem. Prusa sent me a new thermistor and wires+connector. I spliced the connector and half the length of wires from the new set (with heat shrink tubing) into half of the length of wires and the (original) thermistor that was already mounted on the underside of the heatbed. I'm saving the new thermistor as a spare.

DHL 22.06 sended, 26.06 was in house

I had the same problem. After unpacking, the connector from the thermistor to the box was damaged. Complaint through support and they sent a new thermistor. If the cable and PINs are OK, just replace the plastic cover of the connector with a little skill. I only noticed this when I wanted to plug the connector into the board and didn't want to redo and change the whole thing again.
