First boot - LCD fails shortly after boot

I finished assembling my MK4 and powered it up for the first time. The screen worked well enough to show me that it had successfully found the new firmware on my USB key (5.0 beta 4) and installed it, but immediately after that, the display seems to barely function. When I boot the machine, the Prusa logo shows up, the progress bar moves, and then after that things go wonky.

I've tied re-seating both ends of the display cable, but they seem pretty firmly in place. Any ideas? Is my display maybe faulty? Could something be wrong with the cord or the board?

Here's a video of my attempt to use the display: https://imgur.com/9042Ews

If you have a meter, check earth continuity.

Take a look at this thread,

as you're not the first person with this issue.
