What is the 'Idler'?
What to do?
Can't move the filament.

RE: Filament stuck
You can try shoving the filament down from the top, or grabbing it with needle nose plyers, but most of time you have to do a partial disassembly to clear to remove it.
I've had this happen no less then 20 times and about 2/3 of the time I had to remove the gear box to get it out.
The idle is the level you moved down to access this area.
RE: Filament stuck
Thanks Lynn for your (disturbing) answer. 20 times in ??
What do you mean with partial disassemble? The 3 srews round Prusa MK4?
No obstacles on the road? Any more tips that might help?
If this can happen so often, why not what to do in the QR code if this happens?
RE: Filament stuck
It doesn't happen all that often, and removing the gear box to clear the filament is pretty easy. The cover with the 3 screws is where you start. If you are unsure about the method, you should go look at the MK4 assembly manual.
RE: Filament stuck
Pretty easy? For an engineer perhaps. I thought it was scary. But It worked. Thanks
RE: Filament stuck
I've only had this problem with certain filaments. the worst being a particular carbon fiber PETG. But if the needle nose doesn't work, I immediately go for the allen or hex wrench.
Good luck.
