Burnt filament on prints after a couple of printing hours with the MK4

Yet another beginner here. So currently I am prototyping a model and the more I print the more often there are some burnt parts, usually at the edge of the print, sometimes even ending up as part of the print. I realized it is the leftover filament of a previous print.
Usually what happens is that when the printer goes into Cleaning Nozzle mode, some of the leftover filament is pushed to the side and sticks to the nozzle. Then after some time, it drops and gets attached.
I tried reducing this problem by doing a cold pull but to no avail. Usually with PLA it is just a bit of leftover filament. With PETG on the other hand the problem is way worse.
Does anyone know how I can mitigate this problem?

You could try calibrating your filament properly. Filament profiles assume the filament is 1.75mm diameter. However this varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and even batch to batch sometimes. You have to make the profile match reality or the slicers math on how much plastic to extrude is off. Measure it with a set of callipers at various spots and work out the average. Then plug that number into your filament profile instead of the 1.75.
That's the start of the process. After that is accurized you can then look at test prints using classic mode slicing and fixed width extrusions and measuring the walls etc. Lots of guides on how to do that, just search on google.
You should do it for all your filaments. Also don't forget that petg is a more 'stringy' material and the nozzle will leak more and it will stick and build up way more just due to the material itself. Even more reason to make sure its all tuned.
