Benchy Printing Issue

Hello,

I am somewhat new to printing and recently got a mk4. I have been tightening the x and y axis belts but have been running into these issues. I also turned on Ironing with a flow rate of 15%. Anyone got recommendations to fix some of this?

RE: Benchy Printing Issue

There are only a couple of small areas on a Benchy where ironing would have any effect - and they look fine; you may as well turn it off.

Is this a kit build?

The two commonest causes are loose or wrongly positioned grub screws on the drive pulleys.

See step 32 on: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/3-x-axis-x-carriage-assembly_429986

- the same applies to the Y axis.

OR, wrongly tensioned belts, if you are having trouble setting the tension print a measuring tool:

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus

It MUST be printed in Prusament PETG or the spring tension will be wrong.

Cheerio,

Thank you for the reply. It was a kit build, so I will check the grub screws and try to get some PETG so I can check the tension belts.
