Been printing for weeks, then stops working

I assembled my MK4 kit a couple weeks ago, everything went great and been printing ever since. This morning I started to print some old gcode from the night before, one that completed successfully, and the pla wouldn't stick. Washed the plate, tried a different one, a different kind, washed them, none would stick. Drying filament all day, trying 4 different rolls; new and dried. None would stick. 

I run a self test and the X fails, the z doesn't finish, it goes up to the top and buzzes then goes to about 20 mm above the bed. I cannot get the z to get back to the bed.

I had been running 5.0 alpha4, I just flashed to 5.0 RC1. Same results. Any ideas on where I should start? Are the X axis errors during calibration real? What should I try first?

I might be misunderstanding what the calibrate z does. I am able to auto home and print, with non prusament filament at the moment. Definitely need to check the X axis error though as it persists. Is there a guide to do this or am I just working in reverse from assembly to check the bearings?

Remove the cover on the right side of the Nextruder. It's just a screw. Try again.

Note another Prusa Research error. The wires coming out of the filament sensor and LoadCell must be crossed to be inserted into the correct connectors on the LoveBoard. At the same time, it was enough to replace the appropriate connectors between them when designing LoveBoard and the wires would run beautifully next to each other and thus also reduce the problems when the cover of these wires hits the end of the X-axis.
