Belt tension web app

I have upgraded from a MK3.9 to MK3.9S and bumped into a problem with the belt tension web app. I have an iPhone 15 pro and as well as an iPad mini. Both current OS as of Sept. 2024 (IOS 18.0) and no joy trying to tension the Y belt. Every now and again the mic registers something but all over the map. Acts like it polls a few times then just nothing. Tried Safari and Chrome, both current versions, and ensured permissions are set. Both the phone and iPad mini show the red mic icon to indicate the mic is enabled. Other apps detect and work with the mic such as siri if enabled and tested. I tried the Gates belt tensioner app and it seems to work. This is designed for bikes but hears the strum on the belt and reports average Hz. No idea what I am looking for though. Can someone post what good numbers should be for X and Y belts? I am for now going with 83Hz +- 3 for the X axis and 95Hz +-3 for the Y based on what I see on the video link provided. Seems to be working so far on the couple prints I have tested it with. Be nice to have a better idea of the belt tension.

RE: Belt tension web app

For your belt tension, the values you've mentioned (83Hz ± 3 for the X axis and 95Hz ± 3 for the Y axis) seem to be in line with common recommendations. However, specific ideal values can vary based on your printer and setup.

If you want to verify or optimize further, here are a few suggestions:

Check Documentation: Refer to your printer's manual or manufacturer guidelines for the recommended Hz values for belt tension.

Community Input: Consider posting in forums or community groups related to your printer model. Other users can provide valuable insights based on their experiences.

Calibration: If you can, try adjusting your belt tension slightly and see if that impacts your print quality.

App Feedback: If the web app continues to have issues, you might consider reaching out to the developers for support.

Good luck, and happy printing!
