Printer not seeing print file on SD card
I've sliced and saved a file to the SD card and I can see it on the card whith the PC but when I put the card into the printer it doesnt recognise the file/ no file comming up on the screen when I go onto the select file from SD card.
Any tips on what I'm doing wrong
Printers tend to have only a core character set available, as such there are characters your computer understands that your printer doesn't, some operating systems default to character sets that include problematic spacing, tabbing and accented characters. The safest way to name files is to stick to a basic ASCII character set and avoid 'special' characters and spaces (for spaces use underscores). Something out of the printers known range might just be ignored or it might be misinterpreted as a control character; a high percentage of the 'my USB has died' threads on this forum are caused by a variation of this situation.
So: rename your file to something simple and there is a good chance the problem will go away.
