Printer was printing for a few hours with no filament, how should I approach this problem?

My Prusa mk3 that I assembeled from a kit just had a problem. The printer was printing, but then the run out sensor didn't detect a runout and ran for a few hours. I restarted the printer, and took the cover off the hotend where the filament goes in, and pulled out a ton of dust. I used a handheld vacuum and an air compressor and I think I got most of the dust out. The problem now is that the filament has been in there baking, and is past the place for the printer to spit it out of its own volition. I tried pushing some filament in by hand, like I would do with an Ender 3v2, and was met by solid resistence.

Do you think I need to disassembele the entire extruder, or maybe just take the nozzle off and fiddle with it, or something else?

I haven't had many problems with this printer for the 4 years that I've gotten it, I think most were self-caused, so I haven't had to fiddle with it much. Unlike many of my other printers, some of which I'm always fiddling with. I have upgraded the heat brake, heat block (solid copper), and nozzle (Vanadium 0.6mm), all from Slice Engineering, and run all my printers each from their own Raspberry Pi running Octoprint.

I use Octoprint for all my printers. That changes my point of reference substantially.I have a couple Is MK 3's, an XL on the way, a fleet of Ender 3v2s, a couple Lulzbot Taz 6's, a CR30 and…
