MK3.5 perfect first layer?

I have a MK3.5 and a MK4.  I love the MK4 as I feel it is more efficient and way less bulky on the hot end (way less weight with the pancake motor) and losing the pinda sensor for leveling.  I do like the perfect first layer is it uses the same principles as motor stalling in the X & Y, at least that is my interpretation of it as it uses the nozzle to sense pressure (motor stall) and backs off.   This is fantastic on so many levels.

As I upgraded to the MK3.5, I now have the same Xbuddy board and LCD as the MK4.  The perfect first layer was never mentioned as an option in the 3.5, but why not?  Is there something else inside the "Nextruder" that allows this cool feature?  I had assumed it was in the motor stall similar to the X & Y?

Please let us know as I am curious to see if this is in the works by the Prusa team, or if its not possible due to other limitations (or new hardware in Nextruder).  Thank you!
