Wrong filament specs on Prusa website ?
Hi there,
As a beginner i want to be rely on trusted source of information to configure my prints because i can't recheck everything as if i can't trust anybody. Doing the inventory of my filaments, I saw errors for at least a few filaments so maybe it's generalized. Exemple : I bought the "Extrafill Gold Happens" :
- The Prusa product page https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/filament/159-pla-extrafill-gold-happens-750g.html mentions a temperature of 215°
- The Fillamentum product page https://fillamentum.com/products/pla-extrafill-gold-happens mentions a temperature in [190; 210]°, so as the box containing the filament
So the difference is quite big and disappointing, knowing how this parameter is important. I guess we should trust the Fillamentum informations. What's the advice on that ? And more generally, are the Prusa product pages globally wrong ?

I would be more likely to trust the source that's closer to your particular situation, as in a Prusa printer.
Every PLA filament that I have used has printed properly at 215/210 with a 60-ish bed temperature on the Prusa MK3S using other default parameters.
There's a lot of personal preference and trial and error, however. If you get better results with 190/210 then use those numbers and please report back.

On the pack from filament producer there is a recomendation - they do not say for which printer and what mm/s speed of extrusion then, of course the experience can be different, the temperature depends on how do you cool what speed you extrude. Finally: No general answer - I personally stick more to PRUSA profiles - they are adjusted to PRUSA printers. When I printed the PRUSA shields it was from PETG at 265°C of course superspeed - I used PRUSA profile. When I printed Filamentum Flex98 - I used Prusa Profile and it worked.
When you read the printing guide from Filament producer for PLA https://www.dropbox.com/sh/93ijxvlrp6bi2tj/AAAkdLzIumTXNz_cZKK_6wS6a?dl=0 you will find a very generic statement. So I believe PRUSA has tested the suitable temperature for his printers.
