Wirecutter made the Mini their top pick, and the Mk3S their upgrade pick:

I would never be able to disagree. Great find.

I would say that this would be the consensus of, well, uh, most of the people in the universe! 🙂
The Clear Winner
Wouldn’t trade my Mini+ for any other printer out there - except for another from Prusa!
Is not about agree or disagree... but these "Best of" sources are worth absolutely nothing.
Just my 2c
[Mini+] [MK3S+BEAR]
Agreed

I think there are a lot of folks that argue they are not worth the cost, but then again, most do not own a Prusa.

Nice, but not sure I trust their judgement
Good news, though the same company also suggests the Monoproce Cadet as Best Budget printer. Heh, no. I got one out of curiosity. It's a good toy for kids, but that's it.

I'm not sure I trust the opinion of someone who spreads that much gunk over the build plate when printing PLA ...
Cheerio,

Yup. It is more of a toy. I have one donated to my farm by a local teacher that gave up on it.

Isn't that the truth? I bought an ender and put time and money into it to get it to work. It has cost me far more in the long run.

I'm currently at a techie convention in Las Vegas and when the subject of 3d printing comes up, Prusa is the one that most people think is the best there is out there.
"You've got a Prusa? Wow!"
I wish there were more competitors. I've had issues with the Mini but there's not much choice for an upgrade apart from MK3S/4, unless you want to do a corexy or something different.

I must not understand. There are 100s of competitors.

There's very little in the same market segment. There are, mostly chinese, budget options, as well as more expensive commercial-grade printers, but not much for high-end consumer printers.
