RE: Will Prusa consider a Toolchanger Upgrade for the CoreXY?
  1. No point in bringing out a new format printer to supply to existing market (The MK4 will do that). A new format printer needs to reach a new market in the way that the Mini has done. To do that it needs to offer new capabilities/

It is likely the new Mk 4 and Core XL will use a 32 bit board (because they are cheaper), possibly a touch screen, new stepper drivers and a new extruder, built in wifi, plug in camera option some built in 'Octoprint style' features and print farm support software options.

So to reach an extended market the  PrusaCore XL (or whatever they call it) will need to add additional capabilities some of which could be:

Bigger print area (Prusa has already announced this)
Faster printing (non bed flinger printers can print faster by nature)
Better support for printing an extended range of materials with a 300C plus hot end
Better support for printing an extended range of materials with options to  temperature control an optional enclosure
Option to add a second extruder to allow printing of supports at different temperature.
Option to add a second independent extruder to allow printing of more than one item at a time
Fast interchangeable print head (In expensive option - should be a done deal)
Tool changing add on options (unlikely in the price point being aimed at)

Seems that Josef has announce the new PrusaXL will offer a tool changer.

“We are working hard so we can share news about our upcoming machines soon. In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy using not only the new sheets but also the MK3S+ and MINI+. And BTW – because we have more time to work on the XL, we decided to add tool changing to it
