Where is the Mk2/S to Mk2.5 assembly manual

I have looked in the Prusa knowledge base and the manual to convert a Mk2/S to just a Mk2.5 is not there.

I have an original Mk2.5 kit I bought a few years ago I am wanting to upgrade my Mk2, but there is no assembly manual in the knowledge base. There is only one for Mk2/S to Mk2.5S.

RE: Where is the Mk2/S to Mk2.5 assembly manual

Hello RC,

In my opinion, the  upgrade to mk 2.5, is not a good upgrade, because the mk2.5 uses the 4 wire laser filament sensor, and that sensor has issues,

I would seriously recommend you to consider buying an infrared filament sensor with magnets, and printing the Mk2.5S upgrade parts instead
IIRC, the major differences between mk2.5 and Mk2.5S were the filament sensor, and the ubolts for the Y axis.

I bought ubolts for two of my mk2's, but never got round to using them  Cable ties work for me.
Some folk damaged their linear bearings by over tightening the ubolts

I had a look for the mk2.5 assembly guide, as you say, it seems to be missing. this may be, because Prusa moved away from the laser sensor, quite quickly.

regards Joan

note, Prusa have created a filament sensor with a red PCB and they have introduced a supa pinda. I don't have either of these on my mk3S's

Thanks, I have ordered on aliexpress a complete kit to upgrade the sensor to the "S" version.  The only unfortunate thing is I had already printed out the new parts needed for the 2.5 upgrade and have no black petg left, and it looks like the "S" upgrade uses all new extruder parts to print.

I still think Prusa should have the Mk2 to Mk2.5 assembly manual there though.

Hi RC,

I can escalate this issue to my Prusa contact if you would like, they may be able to locate the mk2.5 assembly guide for you.

regards Joan
