Where can I report problems with printables.com?

It's distressing to be completely unable to find any sort of contact link or problem report form on the printables.com website. Maybe it's there but I'm not seeing it.

I am wondering why one of my models isn't appearing in my models page. It isn't a draft, it's published.

Here's my page of my designs: https://www.printables.com/social/30575-anachronist/models

Here's one I published a while back that doesn't appear in among my models: https://www.printables.com/model/172280-tension-screw-trap-for-mmu2s - I tried editing it and re-saving it, to no avail.

It used to appear in my models. Now it doesn't.

Anyone know what's going on?

I can see it in your list just fine--between the mini temp tower and the tripod stand. Is it possible that you have an ad blocker and for some reason it doesn't like it? I can't come up with any other reason why you wouldn't see it.

As far as contact info is concerned. Yes, there's nothing on the pages. I discovered that when I got accidentally banned 😢 I ended up sending email to [email protected]. There's now also a new subreddit r/printablescom that I believe is monitored by Prusa staff

You're right. I turned off the ad blocker (uBlock Origin) and there it is, right at the top of the page. I turned it on again and it's still there.

It's weird that an ad blocker would prevent a model from appearing.

I'll keep the ad blocker off, though. I don't really see any annoying ads on Printables, unlike on Thingiverse. I more or less gave up on Thingiverse after the ad blocker caused functionality to disappear.

IMO if a company doesn't put a contact link on their website, it's usually intentional.

Which part of ABOUT US - HELP - CONTACT US on printables.com does not work for you?

I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…

Which part of ABOUT US - HELP - CONTACT US on printables.com does not work for you?

Which part of "unable to find any sort of contact link" did you not understand?

The part that doesn't work for me is the part where it isn't visible. Go to printables.com and try searching the page for the word "contact" or "help". Nothing.

The header of the page has these links: 3D Models, Community, Contests, Events, Groups, Prusa Blog, Prusa Eshop. The footer of the page has these links: Terms of use, Supplementary Terms, Privacy policy, About us. No contact link anywhere. Click on any of those and you're no longer on Printables.

Yes, you're correct. "About Us" does have a contact form. I didn't see that. But because it isn't Printables, it isn't clear that it's appropriate to use to report problems.

Er, have you noticed a Prusa Orange 'Share your feedback' button at bottom right of the visible pane?

It pops up a choice of three contact forms and an email address...

No, what you describe is not there for me. Or it was not, when I started this thread.

But then, I just turned off the uBlock Origin ad blocker, and there it is. I turned it on again, and that gadget disappeared.

Thingiverse also has this problem of functionality disappearing with an ad blocker enabled.

Diem, while that little share your feedback option is there on a normal computer I use an iPad a lot of the time for general browsing.
And guess what on that it does not appear at all.
Even when using my pc it wasn’t until this thread that I even noticed it either, my attention is focused on the stuff I’m lm looking at.

Id have to agree with Anachronist that things like this should be easily accessible and prominent. They shouldn’t take you away from the site and they should be accessible to all, they shouldn’t require multiple clicks with you having to look for another link each time either. No matter the browser, no matter the device, no matter if you are running an ad blocker etc. A basic link that takes you directly to the correct place. Companies often try to get to fancy with their web designs and forget that when they do so it doesn’t work for everyone.

Interesting @neophyl, I don't think I've ever visited from a mobile device.

Wonder what the percentages are for various browsers and devices for the forum. I know on our work website the percentages have been swinging away from traditional desktops to mobile, mainly iPads and other tablets with larger screens over the last couple of years.
Besides I wouldn’t call most tablet use mobile lol, more home use.  Lots of advantages with the instant on.

Yeah.. I'm on macOS with Safari and I don't see it.. I don't run a 3rd party ad blocker.. but there might be some setting in Safari blocking it.. not sure.. But not there on this desktop.

Cheerio,

I am using Firefox on Windows and even with add-blocking disabled there is no feedback button.

I am of the opinion that every website should have an easy way to provide feedback (bugs, etc.) about the website. It is the only way that maintainers will know there is a problem. It doesn't need to be something fancy. It is common for websites to put information that is not part of the page contents as a set of links at the bottom of the page. The forum pages have Printables at the bottom. In fact the same footer is used on all prusa.com pages.

Sadly, the printables page is completely different. I understand that being a different domain with a different purpose, and using infinitely scrolling pages requires a different approach. Printables uses a menu at the top, and many of the choices are to prusa.com and not part of the printables site.

The printables site needs two buttons added to the top menu:

- Help      which links to help on using the printables webset

- Feedback     which provides a way to report bugs and suggestions.

I found that if you disable the ad blocker, the "feedback" button appears on the lower right edge of the browser window.
