When to use thick bridges?
I'll often get ready to print and really start to question if my bridges are going to be okay and wonder if I should have used the thick bridges option. How big of a difference does this make with regards to print quality and bridge length? If I have a 7cm bridge should I go to thick bridging? what about a 10cm bridge? I wish slicer would make smart recommendations on when to use this option. Or is this really just a backup option to try that is not usually needed unless I have empirical bridge failure on a print?

Basically never lol. Every single print I've made with the option turned off, comes out better looking. Thick bridges was never an option in earlier versions , it was the default, its how it worked and so no option was needed. It was only when they added the option to turn it off that it 'became a thing'.

Ditto here. I'm sure there are situations in which thick bridges work better but I have to run into one yet.

I echo the sentiment. While I acknowledge that there might be scenarios where broader bridges are more effective, I personally haven't encountered such a situation thus far.
