What will it cost to get 2 x Prusament PLA (free) spools into Canada?

Even if I get enough credits for 2 x spools of filament, I'm worried the following costs will be incurred:

Filament:   Zero   (value:  $30USD or $38 Cdn)
Shipping: ($22USD or $28Cdn)
Duty (tax on value):  15% of $38 or $6
Brokerage Clearance fees:  $35
============================
Total might be as much as:  $69 CDN for 2 spools of free filament.

I can buy 4 spools of Eryone 3%  PLA or PETG for $80 Cdn which includes all tax & shipping..

I've used Eyrone's filament and it prints well on my 3+..

Has anyone from Canada actually ordered filament directly from Prusa and can tell me all costs incurred?  I really like the silver that came with my kit, but it seems that, in Canada, it is out of reach for purchase.

The Prusameter incentive would end up costing me much more than just buying another brand local. In Canada, Prusament is $60 +tax+shipping from Prusa dealer so even a local purchase is not cost effective. I am assuming the Prusameter free filament can't be ordered from a local distributor in a country.. only directly from Prusa in Czech Rep.

Not from Canada.  Prusa is a premium filament.  I know they are trying to get local distributers but I have heard anything about Canada.

Well there is premium and there is premium.. Here is 'sort of' the official Prusa distributor in canada.. $174 for 2 rolls of Prusament PLA. That is $140USD. I've used 2 spools of Prusament PLA & PETG. For that price I can get 7 spools of EryOne which is a very good filament and I haven't been able to tell the difference between it and Prusament. It has 0.03 tolerance.  I'm not promoting another brand or knocking Prusament, but their Prusameter promotion is not really viable for Canada, and perhaps many other places. A better option would be to have it able to be redeemed through in country distributors somehow. I can't imagine anyone in Canada actually redeeming their 1 or 2 free spools from Prusa. But certainly I applaud the program.. its the implementation that might need work. So in Canada the question would be .. is it 350% premium?

For what it's worth, I had to pay 26.50$ CAD in duty fees/taxes for two spools of Prusament PLA shipped from Prusa. So you might assume it will cost about that plus the shipping cost converted to CAD to get your two free spools. I'd use that opportunity to order other parts and accessories from Prusa to make it more worthwhile.

filaments.ca sells some Prusament at prices that might be a bit advantageous (or at least more predictable) compared to ordering direct from Prusa (assuming you want to purchase some more afterwards). Much cheaper than Makerwiz, it seems. Plus shipping is free for orders over 125$ CAD. They're mostly out of stock right now, though. Personally, I stick with other brands, as Prusament is not worth 2x the price (or more) to me.

yes.. it would put the 2 free filament spools at least at $55 to get to me. I had been buying PolyTerra, but found it a bit too brittle.. the PolyTerra+ was a bit better but was about $33 with taxes. The Eryone store online and on Amazon has had some really amazing sales. I've been trying their PETG and PLA and they seem really good. I found the PLA a  bit better than the PolyTerra, and for about $20/spool as they have a warehouse in Canada and their prices include taxes and shipping, if you get about 3 spools or more. Some other shops in Canada sell Prusament for a better price.. about $44 + taxes, but none have had any for at least 3 months.. I think I found Black and Orange PLA once.. but that was it. I think Prusa can sell all it can make, so not a problem for them. But a shame their Prusameter program is not more viable .. but I guess $55 is not too bad to try two spools.. Certainly if you only had enough credit for a single spool it would not be worth using as you'd still pay the same $55 for a single spool into Canada.
