RE: What is the science behind vacuum sealed bags over just sealed bags?
I never thought of that, but it's quite brilliant. A little search on Google showed me that such a product actually exists:

From the looks of it, that seems to be a quite simple thing. It should be possible to 3D print those...

Brilliant indeed! I just wonder how good of a seal would an FDM part make, and how well it will hold against the vacuum pressure. Perhaps with a specific filament type? I guess we can find such injected plastic pieces on AliExpress or something and use them with the Prusament nylon bags.
