Weird waves in first layer

Can anyone tell me what's causing these waves in the Z-offset calibration? Is it indicative of some larger issue?

Usually caused by too low a live z setting. The nozzle pushes around already extruded filament. Make the live z value less negative which moves it away from the plater. Back off in increments of 0.005 to start with.
It’s also easier to do if printing a large single layer square or similar as you have longer to adjust things.
