Website keeps emptying basket

... and telling me to login when I click Stock Notification, even though I'm logged in. When I then enter my email it says I'm known to the syetm and tells me to login.

And around and around this madness goes.

BTW I'm looking to add a hardened nozzle to an order of the Mk4

RE: Website keeps emptying basket

Hi I have not deep knowledge about it but i can you explain that the think is like Clear your browser cache: Sometimes, cached data can interfere with the website's functionality. Clearing your browser cache can help eliminate any temporary issues. Try a different browser or device: Switching to a different web browser or device can help identify if the problem is specific to the browser or device you're currently using. Disable browser extensions: Some browser extensions or plugins can cause conflicts with certain websites. Try disabling any extensions you have installed and see if the issue persists. Check your internet connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and working properly. You can try restarting your router or connecting to a different network to see if that resolves the problem. Contact customer support: If the issue persists, it's best to reach out to the  support team of the website you're using. They will have more specific knowledge about the website's functionality and can assist you in resolving the issue.

RE: Website keeps emptying basket

This happened to me the other night.  Same when I ordered my printer in March.  Cart would empty and I had to login again.  Frustrating as hell.  I was logged out and would login again and select my cart of items.  I finally shut down my browser which clears the cache and history and logged in.  To my surprise, the cart was not only full but had extra stuff in it as I had tried to repopulate the cart each previous time I logged in.

It is a timing issue that you get logged out, sort of but not really.  Cart is empty but it really isn't empty if you clear everything and login again.  I think it is related to some type of session cookies.  Server side sees your session properly but still boots you out.

I am using a fully updated Firefox so it is not update browser unless the site is designed only to work with Windows.

I think it is necessary to delete browser cookies and caches. If there is a website update, maybe the site developer has used newer technology and that's where it's important to update their browser. In most cases, a recent technology is not supported by older browsers. But if there is no update of the site, it is not used to update your browser.

RE: Website keeps emptying basket

It isn't just browser related.  In my case, on July 11th, it was a timing issue.  I had items in my cart and I was sort of logged out and when I logged back in, and went to my cart it was empty.  I selected my items again and got logged out again.  And a third time.  Closed my browser, which clears cache, history and cookies, logged back in and my cart was now full with everything I had selected each time I re-logged in and told that my cart was empty, before shutting the browser down.  I now had at least 3 of all items I had in my original list.  It was frustrating enough that I ended up screwing up my order and after placing it, had to cancel it and start the process again.  I had the same issue in March when I ordered my printer.  I almost ordered multiple printers due to the issue.

I have no idea of the time as I was looking through items the first time it happened.  The second and third time were within 10 minutes.  I shouldn't have to clear cache and cookies if I am in the process of making a purchase.  If I do, then there is a major issue with the web site.

If the site needs browser cookies to be deleted, then they should be set that way and erase themselves when logged out. I do understand cache for showing a web page but the web page was saying that the shopping cart was empty, when it really wasn't, so it was not a cache issue.

If it's not an isolated problem, it may be the site that is at fault.
