Watertightness, perimiters only vs perimiter + solid infill?

I've watched CNC kitchen's videos on perimiter thickness, read the prusa blogs etc.

I wonder if for example a 3mm thick wall would be better with only perimiters or 2-3 perimiters and allow for 100% infill to zig-zag in between.

These would not be structural prints but mostly planters etc.

With the infillgap % increased you could in theory fuse infill really well with perimiters.

My thought is to not have water seep in between perimiters only (infill zig-zag would break kapillary wicking action?)

I have usually used spary-acrylic on the inside on the decorative pots i make.

I have considered getting some resin and brushing the inside then curing it. Similar to how Tom Sanlandered painted the Aliens Egg in one of his videos.
