Viewing full resolution when poster failed to click LINK MEDIA

Work around this annoyance with

Right click on the thumbnail and copy the image address.

Paste in browser address bar. Edit the end of the address to remove the resolution indicator. That is the portion beginnning with a "-" and before ".jpg"

should be edited to

Speaking of media workarounds, figured this one out last night.

In PMs there is no option to add images or media. You can still do it though:

  1. In another window/tab start a reply and click the add media button.
  2. Upload you image of it's not already there.
  3. Select it and look at the details on the right and it gives you the URL.
  4. Copy that and switch back to your PM.
  5. Click the {;} button which gives you the raw HTML.
  6. Add an IMG tag in the appropriate place using the copied value as the SRC.
  7. Close the source window and continue editing your message.

Really annoying workaround for more silly lack of functionality.

It also works if you use the forum post editor (what I am typing in now) : compose the message as if you are posting to the forums, include any images and attachments, formatting, etc.  Once you are ready, Select All (Ctrl-A), then Copy (Ctrl-C): open the PM text edit window, and hit Paste (Ctrl-V).  Everything is there.

Linux and Mac users will use different shortcut keys...
