Varioshore TPU jams after a few hours
I'm playing around with Varioshore TPU (blue, it's all they had in stock) and jamming is a huge problem. I've had successful 5 hour prints and I've had it fail in 1 hour. but it always just feels like a matter of time before it will fail. When it fails, the filament is just not pushing through and I usually need to pull it out and force feed PLA through it where it will clear out the line.
Reading other peoples experiences, I feel like my experiences are different. I'm getting the best finish at 240 with 65% extrusion multiplier and I do .25mm layers. .4mm nozzle.
I was wondering if it's too hot but at 220 it's not foaming up to where I want it (this is on two different printers, same jamming, same results). The default settings are not turning the fan on so I'm wondering if that could be the problem. It was jamming the same at 220. Should I use a bigger nozzle?
Any help here is welcome. Thanks.
RE: Varioshore TPU jams after a few hours
To give a little more findings; One pattern I failed to notice before is that after normal PLA printing it seems to print the TPA better and then it just gradually gets worse.
Just now it jammed so I started running PLA through and It seems like the PLA is sparkly. I'll keep running it through until it comes out clean. I'm wondering if the baking powder or whatever they use to make the TPU expand is building up in the printer.
