USA Customs Fees
How do import taxes and duties work into the USA? Anything under $800 is free and everything above is taxed at 4%? I'd like to purchase both the mk3s+ and the mmu2s upgrade kit at the same time thus saving shipping costs but doing so would put me over the $800 maximum. Curious how those fees are paid because I see Prussa doesn't pay them. I'm guessing the carrier will bring the item with a broker's bill for your customs charge? Thanks!

You won't save any money by combining your order.
In addition to the cost of the duty on the item, you also pay service fees to the clearing agent and possibly even the carrier
The added fees ($30 to $60) are going to be much more than any savings in shipping. There are multiple posts on the forum from people that had a really bad experience with customs.
You also avoid a lot of paper work and delays in getting you items if you stay under the $800 limit.
