Uploading Multiple Models as a Single Model

Just making sure my brain is braining correctly, if i were to upload a dozen or so models in subfolders under a single models page since they are part of a collection, would the individual models accrue Prusameters in the same fashion as if I had uploaded each model under its own individual page? I'm a fan of keeping things neat and tidy, but I also don't want to lose Prusameters unnecessarily.

Thank you!

No.

This question is a perfect illustration of how the Prusameters system has destroyed the usability of the Printables database and diluted a once excellent resource with garbage ...

There were several thousand useful prints in there before winter 2021.  It was worth looking through the listings and perhaps one in ten was good enough to consider downloading.

Then came Prusameters and the associated weekly competitions - now there are ten times as many prints in the database and probably a few thousand more useful ones - but no-one will ever find them.

So: if you want your collection to be downloaded and printed use Printables as a file store; keep them together and link to it from elsewhere as it will not be found otherwise.  If you just want Prusameters don't bother with your models - write a program to dump your photo and clip-art folders into lithophanes, coasters and 'Wall art' and add a few thousand more to the heap.

RE:

You mean single entry in printables.com with many models?

Probably yes.

But I would not count on the Prusa meter points in general, because I have some models and they reached required downloads / likes and so on and there are no rewards for it.

I made more points doing makes and uploading model photos than from downloads.

Unless your model is super popular...

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

but what are Prusameters ?

A poorly thought out attempt to gamify the process of uploading new designs to Printables (and a few other things) which encourages mass uploads of untested and often unprinted and unprintable hastily created files whilst simulatenously discouraging the upload of well designed, fully tested and properly documented projects.

I'm of the mindset that prusameters would be nice, but I'd rather have a well laid out and sensibly completed set of files. Was just curious if my models being downloaded from a single page (if they do get downloaded) would act as a single model being downloaded, or as individual models accruing individually but from a single location.

RE: Uploading Multiple Models as a Single Model

You only get Prusameters for the first 10 uploads. Then it helps to spread. From there on you can get Prusameters if the model reaches a certain number of downloads in a 30 days period. A collection of items A, B and C can bring you downloads from people interested in say item B, but not in items A and C, as well as from people who are interested in item A or item C only.  The combined interest will have a greater chance of exceeding the threshold for more Prusameters. It will also push you up in the popularity ranking.

Obviously the item in your collections best have some correlation: be complementary, or be different versions of same thing, like small/large or Metric and Imperial.
