Unlocked Firmware

Hello, hope I'm in the right place.

What's the deal with unlocked firmware? For example, I can find an unlocked i3 MK2 version 3.0.10 on Github, but I can't seem to find the latest i3 MK2 firmware (version 3.2.3).  Secondly, how does one unlock this firmware? I have a few pieces of software ( hex editor and visual studio) that open the .hex but that's not really what I'm looking for. I want to open it in Arduino. Any ideas?

Thanks, Jim G

RE: Unlocked Firmware

I am not sure what you want to do and what is an unlocked firmware? You can just download the current firnware from github, make all your changes and compile it for your mk2?

The Prusa firmware, printer and slicer are all open source. Nothing needs to be unlocked. You do need to select the appropriate branch to download from github ... or use git

@bobstro

Thanks, I found it.  I made some edits and compiled and it works great.
