RE: Trademark issue

What is the trademark issue? (Do you mean no company can use the name Galaxy PLA outside of Prusa?)

RE: Trademark issue

I suspect that "Galaxy" can not be protected. There are quite a lot of filament manufacturers using "Galaxy" Black. Fillamentum have a really nice CPE called "Vertigo" Grey and Fibology also released "Vertigo" Grey (presumably they where able to for the same reason).

I think you can trade mark common words - eg Apple pages and number for processor and spread sheet, Word?

Well im not expert but to me there is a distinct crossover which could confuse buyers.

If Prusa has protected the name then - surely

there is an issue

But they haven't.  Galaxy as a filament description has been used by many companies, it predates Prusa's filaments manufacturing, and it generally refers to those filaments that have a slight sparkle effect.
