I’m just finishing assembly of a Core One kit. The thing I am most worried about is the possibility that I have mis-connected a cable. Tracing a cable from the board to the device looks like it would be a real headache.
If I was starting this project again, I would add a tag to both ends of every cable with some unique identifier. I see that Prusa has put a tag on the cables with a scannable code. What about putting a unique id on the back side of that tag and putting a tag near all connectors. The identifier doesn’t need to have any meaning. It just has to be easily read and be unique. Two upper case alpha characters would be plenty.
