Stringy Prints Lately

Hey guys, I've been having issues with all my prints ending up with a ton of strings. I have an MK3S+ printers. And I'm leaning towards the last slicer firmware update and here's why. I have 2 printers and both have the same issue, it would be an anomaly for both printers having the same hardware issue at the same time. The filament I'm using is a known good roll that produced beautiful finishes prior to the firmware updates. I usually print with the prusa prepared settings, only thing I change would be the percentage of infill, everything else is factory settings.

I'd like to test my theory about it being the latest version by reverting back to an older version of the slicer. Can someone please help me out, let me know where to find the old versions.

And please feel free to offer up other ideas that I may be overlooking. I'd like to nip this in the bud and get back to printing quality prints.

Thanks

-Sis

RE: Stringy Prints Lately

Feels like the usual response to any new problem these days is "must be the slicer" or "must be the firmware". It sometimes is, more likely it's not. If it happens on multiple printers, it may be related to the filament. I'd dry it. Even if the spool was great before, it may have accumulated enough moisture. I had cases of a filament printing great in the morning after overnight drying and stringing like there's no tomorrow in the evening.

But if you want to revert back to old firmware, go to https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases and let us know if that fixed the problem.

Thank you @fuchsr , I was able to revert back to version 2.4.0 and that definitely solved the problem.
