STL and BGCODE Thumbnails

I could really use a good thumbnail viewer, from a reputable source. Prusa is kind enough to provide a preview thumbnail for .3mf files. It would be fantastic if they could do the same for the .bgcode and .stl files too.

I know there are .stl thumbnail viewers out there... But I am always skittish to install just anything I find online.

So far, I trust Prusa as a reputable source.

If you have a PrusaSlicer then itt should work with bgcode as well.

For STL.you need different tools.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

I do use PrusaSlicer for the Core One I just got. I get thumbnails for the .3mf files, sure. But I do not have preview thumbnails for the .bgcode files. If it matters I have Windows 10 for now.

Just to be clear, you are talking about viewing thumbnails in your OS's file explorer. Right?

If so, AFAIK the reason why you get thumbnails on .3mf files is because your OS knows what the file is already, not because PrusaSlicer added anything to your OS.

Yeah. Preview thumbnails in explorer.

I know there are some 3rd party ones out there that allow for previews of STL files.
