STEMFIE rubber band-driven car ready for testing

Hi, guys!

I have been developing a 3D-printable construction set toy for some time. It is now ready to be launched publicly for everyone to download and make. 🙂 I'll be releasing all the files for the complete construction set, continuously. Please check out the project and hope you have fun 3D-printing!

This is a brilliant project (the entire Stemfie concept that is). I've printed out and built this car to take to my local maker space to let other people know about this.

How open are you to community submissions of new parts (TPU printed tires for those wheels, other shaped basic building blocks, mechanical/drive parts, etc?) and/or full up projects like this first rubber band car? Or do you want to build up the base set of parts and initial kits before you devote time to reviewing submissions?

@sembazuru

Thank you for your kind and heart-warming words about the STEMFIE project and for sharing it with your local maker space! Sorry for my late reply. 🙂

I am very open to community submissions and appreciate every idea and effort from STEMFIE users from around the world! The core idea of this project is to spread this new standard for making mechanical construction set toy parts, using affordable 3D-printers.

I'm currently updating stemfie.org where I will also make a section for community-based parts, projects and submissions. Every help and new ideas are welcome! 😀

Cheers!
